Guangzhou Industrial Investment leads the investment to accelerate the construction of a global intelligent testing ecosystem
Recently, HICY, a leading company in new energy testing technology, announced the completion of a multi-million yuan Series A financing round, which was invested by Guangzhou Industrial Investment. The financing will be used for the iteration and upgrading of the entire product line, the construction of a global brand matrix, and the development of an intelligent testing cloud platform, further consolidating the company's global competitiveness in the field of battery full life cycle testing.
Eight years of hard work: From Suzhou to the world's hard technology pioneer
Hicy was founded in March 2017 and is headquartered in Guangzhou New Energy Industry Cluster. It has regional technical service centers in Suzhou, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Hefei, Shenzhen, Changsha, Chongqing, and Beijing, and has established a global service network covering the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The company focuses on the in-situ detection and monitoring technology of new energy battery electricity, and its self-developed "R&D-production-application-recycling" full-chain solution has provided technical services to 200 customers worldwide, including leading companies in the industry chain such as CATL, CATL, BYD, NIO, GAC, and Changan, and has formed in-depth cooperation with more than 20 scientific research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University.
Strategic upgrade: from technology empowerment to ecosystem construction
This round of financing marks the entry of Hicy into a new stage of large-scale development. The company announced three major strategic plans at the press conference:
1. Product technology innovation: Complete the intelligent upgrade of all testing equipment by 2025, and launch the sixth-generation multi-scenario testing platform compatible with multi-form battery testing;
2. Brand globalization: Launch the construction of the "HICY Tech" international brand matrix, and simultaneously upgrade the multilingual official website and overseas technical service center;
3. Ecologicalization of industrial value: Develop an AI diagnostic system for battery health, open up the value chain from factory testing to end-user battery management, build a testing network covering all key links in the battery industry chain, and use its own cloud platform to achieve real-time collaboration of testing data across regions and enterprises, deepening the huge potential of industrial ecological value.

On May 15, Hicy will present five innovative solutions, including the industry's pole piece XYZ three-dimensional uniformity detection system and the 0.5 μm-level battery cell synchronous expansion difference analysis system, at the 17th Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exchange Exhibition. It will provide a three-in-one service of "technical consultation + equipment customization + data analysis" on site, demonstrate the "detection equipment + cloud platform" dual-wheel drive model, release a new brand product plan, and sincerely invite experts and customers from various industries to consult and negotiate.
